Who I am

Silvestro Marino was born in Naples on 7 June 1974. As a child he used to play as an actor on the street, for alleys of Naples, that became the scenography of his imaginary characters, and sometimes in the small theater of the parish. Soon the first applauses and his first satisfactions arrived. Over time, the school replaced the game, occupying a good part of its time. He had to give up his dream of putting in scene his own fantasies. He tried to start over in his free time, but his father’s untimely death forced him to devote himself to work and family. Soon he graduated in Pharmacy, but he missed the child he had been. So in 2012 he decided to try again and made his debut as an actor in a music video called “Senorita”. Restarting was not easy, but he never forgot his past and his artistic aspirations. He convinced himself in the two days of production that his world, despite everything, was that of the actor. He decided without delay to produce a film called “Impepata di Nozze”, where he played a small role in the shadow of big actors like Paolo Caiazzo, Sandra Milo, Patrizio Rispo. It is not easy to produce a comedy film, but his producer debut gratifies him, so he begins a series of films and short films that reserve him significant roles to externalize his passion as an actor. In 2016, with the film “Con tutto l’amore che ho”, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the David di Donatello. Since then, Sly Production Srl has continued to produce and cover, together with the O’Grove of De Angelis-Verga, several short films and also the latest film by Edoardo De Angelis, “Il vizio della speranza”. In particular, the intent of its production aims to provide adequate opportunities for young authors and directors, as well as to create a team that aims to reach the top in order to meet the needs of the public, regardless of the cultural quality that, in any case, produces positive effects for a young cinema made by young people, but for everyone. per tutti.
